Lasting Expressions™ Portraits Monthly Instagram Newborn Photo Contest

Contestant Qualification: No purchase of portraits is required to enter contest.

 

How to enter: Complete a full, In-Hospital Newborn Session with Lasting Expressions Portraits. Entrant must be the legal guardian(s) of the newborn, sign an unqualified model release for the hospital session, fill out an entry form and select image to be entered in the monthly Instagram Newborn Photo Contest within 2 weeks of session date and before the closing date for the monthly category your session falls under. Monthly categories are defined by the named month for which the date your session takes place.  The closing date for all categories is 7 days following the last day of that month.

 

Judging:  The images will be posted on the Lasting Expressions Instagram account and individuals can “like” the picture that they wish to vote on, with the cutoff being 10:00 PM one week from the voting start date (may vary depending on month) for that monthly grouping of contestants. Voters must follow the Lasting Expressions Instagram account in order for their vote to count. The image with the most votes (minimum 20 to place) will be announced the Friday after voting has closed for that monthly category.

 

Winners are required to comply with any and all applicable federal, state, and local laws, rules and regulations. No transfer or substitution of prizes is allowed except at the sole discretion of the Sponsor. If an offered prize is unavailable, Sponsors reserve the right to substitute an alternate prize at their discretion. There is a limit of 1 entries per family, per year.

 

Odds of Winning: This is a local contest and therefore will have a limited amount of entries. It is estimated that the odds of winning will not exceed 375 to 1 for the monthly contest and 600 to 1 for the Grand Prize Drawing.

 

Entrant Licenses/Releases: By entering in this contest you agree to allow Lasting Expressions to use all images and likeness obtained during your portrait session or images and likeness that are obtained during or a byproduct of this contest. These images may be used by Lasting Expressions or any other sponsor of the Instagram Newborn Contest, at the discretion of Lasting Expressions. By participating, entrants grant Lasting Expressions and any other Sponsors and their designees, licensees and affiliates (the "Authorized Parties") a non-exclusive license to post the entries online so that participants may view all competing entries. In addition, each WINNER grants to the Authorized Parties a license for use of his/her winning entry in connection with Monkey Contest in any media now or hereafter known, including but not limited to: publication in brochures and magazines showcasing the winners; The website gallery hosted by Lasting Expressions and Novagiant; Authorized Parties will not be required to pay any additional consideration or seek any additional approval in connection with such use.  Limitation of Liability by participating, entrants release, discharge, indemnify, defend and hold harmless Sponsors and each of their respective partners, affiliates, subsidiaries, advertising agencies, agents and their employees, officers, directors, and representatives from any claims, losses, and damages arising out of their participation in this Contest or any Contest-related activities and the acceptance and use, misuse, or possession of any prize awarded hereunder.

  

Sponsors assume no responsibility for any error, omission, interruption, deletion, defect, or delay in operation or transmission; communications line failure; theft or destruction of or unauthorized access to Contest entries or entry forms; or alteration of entries or entry forms. Sponsors are not responsible for any problems with or technical malfunction of any telephone network or lines, computer online systems, servers or providers, computer equipment, software, failure of any e-mail entry to be received on account of technical problems or traffic congestion on the Internet or at any website, human errors of any kind, or any combination thereof, including any injury or damage to entrants' or any other persons' computers related to or resulting from participation, uploading or downloading of any materials related to this Contest.

 

Sponsors are not responsible for any medical imagery or information that may be present in pictures, including hospital bands and are under no obligation to the entrant to remove or hide information that is present in an image that the entrant selects for the competition.

 

Entrants into contest may be disqualified if they exceed the limits, determined by the Sponsor, of a standard hospital session, or request reshoot of session, either at hospital or studio, due to lack of entrant satisfaction with portraits for competition.

 

Conditions: This contest is void where prohibited. This Contest is subject to federal, state, and local laws and regulations. Certain restrictions may apply. Sponsors are not responsible for late, lost, stolen, mutilated, incomplete, and illegible entries. Entries void if Sponsors determine the entry to not be an original, or if the entries are illegible, incomplete, damaged, irregular, altered, counterfeit, produced in error or obtained through fraud or theft.  Participants shall (a) be bound by these Official Rules as posted on www.newborns.lastingexpressions.com; (b) accept that the decisions of the Judges are final on all matters relating to the Contest; and (c) if he/she wins, consent that Sponsor may use each winner's name, photograph, likeness, and/or voice in any publicity or advertising relating to the Contest or future promotions without compensation or approval. All federal, state and local taxes, fees and surcharges on prizes are the sole responsibility of the prizewinners. In the event that the selected winner(s) of any prize are/is ineligible or refuses the prize, the prize will be forfeited and Sponsors, in their sole discretion, may choose whether to award the prize to another entrant. 

 

Sponsors hold the right to Cancel or Suspend Contest If for any reason the Contest is not capable of running as planned, due to infection by computer virus, bugs, worms, trojan horses, denial of service attacks, tampering, unauthorized intervention, fraud, technical failures, or any other causes beyond the control of Sponsors that corrupt or affect the administration, security, fairness, integrity, or proper conduct of this contest, sponsors reserve the right, at their sole discretion, to disqualify any individual(s) who tamper with the entry process, and/or to cancel, terminate, modify, or suspend the contest.  

 

Winners::  

Winners will be contacted via email provided on contest form by the Friday following the closing date for that monthly category.
